Praise be to Allah swt enabling us to establish first steps towards an opening of a life time opportunity to serve in the name of Allah swt a mission to encourage first class education through the principles of the Qur’an and Sunnah of Allah’s Messenger our beloved Prophet Muhammed may peace be upon him.
Oakwood Independent Islamic School for Girls aged 11 to 16 is our first Islamic School Development in the heart of the community of Birmingham.
The school is based on the principle of Islam in an environment that is safe and will only deliver the highest values of moral and self-development within the Islamic Faith.
Our aim is to create an excellent learning environment that challenges each student to discover and develop their academic skills to their full potential and become ambassadors of Islam in our community.
Allah swt says in the Qu’ran:” (2:269) He (Allah) Grants wisdom to whom He pleases; and he to whom wisdom is granted indeed receives a benefit overflowing. But none will grasp the message except men of understanding”
We will encourage and create a confident, articulate generation of young Girls in Muslim Faith to become well educated and first class citizens of a society that is seen to be progressive, well integrated in all aspects of the community, responsible and embedded with spirituality of being a Muslim, truthful throughout their life times.
Oakwood Independent Islamic School is totally committed to the personal and educational development, encouraging Girls to achieve their full academic potential through selected choice of subjects by General Certificate of Secondary Education.
Oakwood Independent Islamic School will encourage the Girls to progress to further, higher level of education through application of partnership and liaison with Sixth Forms and Universities.
Inshallah, our mission is to excel the knowledge and understanding of our Girls in Islam, in community, society and for many Generations of Muslims to come.
May Allah swt guide us all and have mercy upon us.
